Bail House Hotel is a small boutique hotel in the heart of historic Lincoln. This historic hotel dates back to 1350 and enjoys an enviable location in Lincolns Cathedral Quarter with its wealth of independent retailers, bars and restaurants.

Our spacious bedrooms, most with king size beds and en-suites, have been sympathetically decorated to complement the architecture and history of the building. Each room has a unique view of the Castle, Cathedral spires or the Bailgate. All our rooms benefit from tea and coffee making facilities, TV and free local and national phone calls.

History of Bailhouse

Dating from the 14th Century, the house itself has a rich history, starting life as a medieval hall (circa 1350). Large parts of the original beamed roof and low walls have been preserved in one of the bedrooms and the kitchen area. Many additions have been made to the house since then, evolving over 600 years from medieval hall to a residential home which closed in 1999.
